Review by Free on 7 Mar 2012review stating Mix magazine
Mix magazine focuses on major studios and things you won't find anywhere else; like the sound designers for major motion pictures. In the era of project studios, the average musician may not find it directly relevant to their own work.

I had this sent to my husband who was out of country due to COVID. He said the issue was thin compared to previous exp. and we will will not be re subscribing.
Mix is completely unreliable. It doesn't give anything but outstanding gear reviews, which is probably appropriate, considering it only discusses huge ticket items. It's loaded with insidiously deceptive ads (you know, the kind pretending to be another article) and the rest is just cheerleading for the top-40 pop music industry. If you're a pro you won't learn anything other than entertainment news, and if you're still trying to learn you'll get the idea that you don't have enough $$ to even get started with a studio. It's a magazine written completely for the benefit of its advertisers.
